OK found where to get the greases prescribed by Ducati for my 1198S.

These can be purchased from Blackwoods:

    Grease A - Shell Alvania RL3, Blackwoods Part No. 04390800, 450gm Cartridge
    Grease B - Shell Retinax HDX2, Blackwoods Part No. 00333454, 450gm Cartridge
    Grease C - Shell Retinax LX2, Blackwoods Part No. 04391207, 450gm Cartridge

Sorry probably should have given some context to this.

I fried my rear disc, set fire to my caliper, speed sensor and brake line,

So I am stripping down the rear end and rebuilding it with some bling (I'll post some photos when it all arrives). To put it all together, and in accordance with the workshop manual, I needed to get some specific greases.

Pads seized on disc which was probably caused by my adjustment of the rearsets

Luckily the bearings are still OK with seals intact.

Bad news, this will cost me, good news excuse to upgrade!

Bad adjustment of break lever on rear sets. Didn't allow the actuator to fully return so the pads could not retract. If you pull back the rubber boot on the rear master cylinder and have a look inside you can see the piston moving back and forth when the brake lever is depressed and released. Just make sure when the lever is released the piston returns back as far as it can go.

Bike is now back on road here are the pictures.

Also took the time to swap out the axle nuts, pinch bolts, front caliper bolts and kickstand bolts for titanium. As the rear brake line was stuffed I also swapped out all brake lines with Carbontech double carbon fibre lines. Made a huge difference in brake feel as these have no give what so ever (minimum bursting pressure of 1200psi).

Nice to see you've got her back together SV.

Hopefully this rear brake can hold up to your "backing it into corners"
