Switched from English to Italian

Been drooling over and dreaming about a white 848/1198 for years, been happily riding a Trumpy 675 while always keeping an eye on bikesales / forums etc. Found the perfect bike last week, negotiated what to me is an amazing price and yesterday picked up my new bike:




2010 model with 968km on it. Is having a full service/check today, then Termi slip on's next week when they arrive.

I had to put on 40km last night to get the Service warning on the dash before this morning, first impressions are it's stupidly powerful and torquey, comfy riding position and give me sore cheeks from smiling non stop.

I like the red, and i understand it's the 'traditional' colour for Ducati's, much like a red Ferrari etc. I test rode a red 1198, and loved it, but the pearl white just does something for me. I'd also take a Fezza in white over red so i'm obviously biased

I prefer the other colours Ducati do ie white, black, yellow etc. As for red being traditional thats a bit of an untruth as they (cucciolo included) came out in numerous colours.

Enjoy, they're a brilliant bike. Be sure and wear the leather pants though, unless your missus likes roasted nuts

Must of had it in the lounge to gork at rather than ride it . Shame, but as Barfie said it's your gain.
Doesn't need to be red , I have a monster in that colour, looks great imo.
