Radical suzuki V8
Powertec RP is the name of a V8 engine developed by Radical Sportscars in Peterborough, England for use in the SR8 sportscar. The design is loosely based on the 1.3 litres (79.3 cu in) inline-four engine produced by Suzuki for their Hayabusa motorcycle. The company have designed their own cylinder block and use existing Suzuki cylinder heads. The two cylinder banks are inclined at a 72-degree angle. Lubrication is provided by a dry sump system. The engine is mated to a purpose-built transaxle designed by Quaife.
There are currently three versions of the engine available. First is the original 2.6 litres (158.7 cu in) model which retains the original bore and stroke of the Hayabusa design. Second is the bored 2.8 litres (170.9 cu in) model which produces up to 450 horsepower (336 kW; 456 PS). Finally there is the bored and stroked 3.4 litres (207.5 cu in) [1]
Hartley Enterprises of the U.S. produces a similar engine with 2.8 litres and 400 horsepower (298 kW; 406 PS).[2] British tuning company Holeshot Racing state that they can turbocharge this Hartley engine with 2 bars (200 kPa; 29 psi) of boost pressure to up to 1,000 horsepower (746 kW; 1,014 PS).[3]
For gods sake shove this in a bike
