I agree putting laps down on a race track is hard work but Casey is payed as a professional. If he can't hack the pace then get fitter, can you imagine the top football players saying to their coach I'm not fit enough and I need a break.

He made the comment that he felt fine all week then started getting weak on friday...could it be in his mind...

Like everyone else I am speculating, maybe he is sick with an illness…

Stoner is supposed to be one of the fitter riders on the circuit - so if you are speculating then why the comment on him re hacking the pace - he may be sick so why not wait till results are known. Didn't he seem to hack the pace better than all but two riders in the race?

He may be over-fit, especially if taking a lot supplements/vitamins - there is some evidence this can cause fatique problems.

lets wait till we get some definitive information re his health before we speculativley denigrate him.

What I think is funny, is last time out at Catalunya, people were criticising Stoner for complaining that he is sick..."He couldn't have been that sick he made it to the press conference...what a soft cock". And now, he couldn't talk to the guys interviewing in parc ferme without throwing up, couldn't make it to the press conference coz the doctors had to get an IV into him ASAP, and what does he get, "He needs to toughen up he couldn't have been that sick if he finished on the podium. How disrespectful he didn't suck off Rossi." Not downplaying what Rossi has done, but Stoner was the first to congratulate him on track.

So which is it? From where I sit, it seems like nothing the kid ever does is good enough for you people. Do you actually listen to what Nick Harris and Gavin Emmet have to say or do you sit there talking over them with your own "expert anal-sis"? After the catalunya race, they both said that Casey is one of the fittest guys in the paddock and it's not normal for him to be this exhausted after the race. At Assen they both also said that over the whole weekend, the only person to be able to run the same consistent pace as Rossi is Stoner and they were both flummoxed as to why he suddenly dropped off the pace.

He's not saying he's not fit enough is he? I don't remember him saying anywhere that he can't race coz he's sick or not fit enough. Exactly right, he's a paid professional and he's doing what he's paid to...to RACE.

And why would it be in his mind? He's doing much better then he was last year on tracks he normally struggles at (Jerez particularly). He's much closer in the championship this year then he was last. He's doing miles better then anyone in the class bar Lorenzo and Rossi. He's doing miles better then anyone in the class on a Ducati.

I agree about making comments hence why I said it in my post.

Whether he is supposed to be the fittest or not they are all racing in exactly the same conditions.

    Time will tell.....

In the Supers? He broke his wrist or something at Monza. But if I remember correctly, I think Kwack weren't too happy with his performances.
