Anthony West secures factory ride for 2005
AUSTRALIAN motorcycle racer Anthony West has finally secured a factory ride for next year's 250cc Grand Prix championship after six years battling as a privateer.
West, 23, from Queensland's Gold Coast, will be the sole rider for KTM, the Austrian manufacturer best known for off-road bikes who are entering the 250cc road racing championship for the first time in 2005.
West has ridden mainly Italian-made Aprilia bikes and won last year's Dutch 250cc GP.
He missed the final two rounds of this year's championship, at Phillip Island and Valencia in Spain, because of wrist injuries from crashes.
This is going to be great next year when we have two top Aussies in the 250's!!

This would almost be confirming that Casey will be riding for Lucio at Aprillia next year then hey :?:
