"Only hours after Dani Pedrosa’s crash on just his third lap of Friday morning free practice, a Honda spokesperson agreed with Alberto Puig's statement blaming the fall on a throttle closure problem. However, while first suspicions in the GP paddock were of an electronic problem, Honda believe the real culprit was a sticking throttle cable. Pedrosa told Puig at the circuit clinic that he tried to shut off for the corner but the bike kept running.
The actual fuel delivery mechanism on the RC212V Honda MotoGP racer is initially mechanical, with a throttle and cable triggering the fly-by-wire electronics that activates the injector system.
Whether the flaw was mechanical (sticking cable) or electronic, the crash was clearly not caused by rider error."
That is really unfortunate! Good to see Dovizioso right up there, though.

wow. what an amazing battle!
awesome action between those 2 riders in the final laps!!
yep, fantastic race! if you haven't had a chance yet, make sure you watch it.
Marlen1 likes; pizza, carona and his snazzy blue leathers.
Definately no love lost between the two.
Love Rossi's blocking move. Like the commentators said it reminded me of Rossi vs Gibernau @ Jerez.
Well done Stoner![]()
Gotta say - thoroughly enjoyed watching this race!
Great to see Stoner get some form back (even tho its so late in the season now...)
Even better to see Rossi outclass Lorenzo!

I'm not gonna whinge about Rossi's "dirty" tactics, because it was fun to watch. I just hope he gets a bit of his own medicine in the next races though. After lorenzo wins the championship I'm sure he will not hold back.

Good also to see the respect from both Ducati and Stoner by giving it there all to win the race even tho they are parting ways soon . . .
