You do understand the meaning of statistics dont you? If you do, you should be able to work out how that will NOT help you win this years Moto GP. You could have awesome stats, does not mean you are gonna run away with the upcoming championship now does it? Who knows what lies ahead of riders this and upcoming years! I bet Super Sic thought he would be looking back at his stats one day.

Number of other riders races fucked up by Rossi.
Number of other riders races fucked up by Stoner.

I doubt anyone, maybe bar De Puniet and that was in quali, would have any thing to say about dubious moves from Stoner.
Rossi however would have queues of riders pissed at stupid shit he's done to them.

Rossi retiring is a moot point[ the original post! ] because he thoroughly burnt his bridges at both Yamaha and Honda, nothing but ashes there. It's Ducati or nothing really, what else is there? Superbikes? Admission of defeat/step down. I say ride out 2012[ good or bad ] then if it doesn't work out blame the bike and go find something with 4 wheels.

The best of their generation come and they go, my heroes,Roberts/Spencer/Phillis/Campbell/Gardener/Doohan/Bayliss all had time in the sun, but just because they've gone doesn't mean I give up on the sport....
