That is how it was explained once early in his career. Without getting too carried away, if the letters are WLF and its pronounced Viva La Figa, shouldnt it be VLF? It is also street slang and a direct translation would be difficult, surely? e.g. how would "Who's the razor back with the babe?" translate to Italian?

I've highlighted the part where I already explain the W, also, Viva = live, not go. Period.
If it was "go" it would be "Vada" not "Viva" - which makes even less sense with a W.
It's not a direct translation, because Italian grammar etc is different, but the closest translation is "Long live the pussy".
