ROSSI TO TEST DUCATI GP10 at VALENCIA ? ?

Ducati & Yamaha’s Gentlemen’s Agreement: Rossi to Test GP10 at Valencia – Announcement Delayed

Still waiting for an announcement from Ducati that they’ve signed Valentino Rossi? So are we, and as we know now the delay of the worst kept secret in MotoGP is due to a gentleman’s agreement between Ducati & Yamaha. In exchange for delaying the announcement until after the American round at Laguna Seca (now slated for the Monday after racing at Brno), Yamaha is allowing Rossi to test the Ducati Desmosedici GP10 when MotoGP stops at Valencia at the end of the 2010 season.

Has Rossi ever blamed the bike?
Customer: Look, there's no other way to say this, but I didn't come in here to be insulted.
Bernard: Well, I didn't ask for the job of insulting you. In another life, we could have been brothers. Running a small, quirky taverna in Sicily. Maybe we would have married the local twins instead of wasting each other's time here in this dump. But it was not to be. So hopit.

    Probably Ohlins, or Bridgestones.

Hmmm. I've never considered him a complainer, neither has anyone I've talked to. Whingers go to, not from, Honda Opinions will be opinions though.

So it's not out of reach for him to take the Championship in his first season at Ducati? One eyed Rossi fans tend to not see his faults. He is one of the best there is and will always be regarded as the one to emulate, but he isn't faultless when it comes to not whinging as has been seen this year when Lorenzo has beaten him fair and square.

Whingers leave when they can't get their own way and go to Ducati. I hope he does well, but if he dosen't win then obviously it's the Ducatis fault.

I'm not a one eyed Rossi fan, and I disagree with you.

    ^^ that too.

pedrosa is due for a good season; he's now injury free, competitive and stoner coming on board will likely rock the boat a bit.

he's certainly battling for the lead more these days, and not just a one trick guy who bolts, gets a lead and either keeps it or falls apart as soon as people get close.

the pass(es) off the start at laguna seca this season was pretty insane, i reckon about 1/2 of his 49kg weight is testicles...

    edit:
as for lorenzo building a bike by himself... see his 250gp domination in previous years? see the separate teams within fiat this year and last? and even if he did get all of rossi's data and ran the exact same setup (which I seriously doubt he did), he still beat rossi on the same bike. and the tracks where rossi wasn't racing? domination, also - no rossi setup input. he was also running with rossi in his first year with the "inferior" michelin tyres (on the same bike) when rossi was on bridgestones...

the kid has major talent (dare I say: he's the one man out there with a chance to follow in Rossi's foot-steps and give his achievements a run for their money as his career continues), and it saddens me that his domination this season will be forever seen as "if rossi was there, things would be different".

Rossi is/was awesome, but lorenzo is the future.

It cracks me up that people constantly right casey off he will be a threat on the honda he is 3rd in the championship this year so far isn't he thats not exactly shithouse
valentino is ultra talented and expecially if jeremy burgess goes with him I don't think the ducati is any where near as behind the other bikes as the yamaha was when rossi and burgess went there back in 2004 so i'd say he'll be competitive pretty much straight away don't if he'll win the championship in his first year but you can't count him out he'll be 32 consider Troy Bayliss world champion at 38
lorenzo will be quick no doubt I lean towards valentino though becuase i'm a one eyed ducati fan
