    Rossi too aggressive at Motegi?

Yamaha: Rossi was 'too aggressive' | Oldest Comments | Page 2 | MotoGP | Crash.Net

Rossi's always raced hard, gotta laugh at how he punted Gibernau out of the way and ruined his entire season, lord knows how many times he did that to Max etc etc etc. Whether you support him or not, that's who he is, never mind the psychological games he plays. Personally I think it's racing and as many have pointed out, fairing bashing is all part and parcel of WSB and all the better for it.

Personally I have no issue with the tussle on Sunday, it was Lorenzo's gamble to stick it in there given he was the one with everything to lose.

(On a side note the TV race director was crap through the last corners, cutting to Casey's crew and the crowd instead of following the Yam's blow for blow.)

Great to watch, tho if Lorenso went down in the tussle Rossi would not have been too popular.

I would bet money that Lorenzo would have pulled something similar given the chance, I wouldn't say "That's racing" because it's not racing, and what happened to Gibernau was certainly not racing.

But those two where at it all day, and it wasn't anything serious, Rossi found a spot (all be it small) and stuck it in there 'infront' of Lorenzo.

I was certainly a great lap or two, but I think off track clashes drove both of them. Pride was at stake. They stayed on, but Rossi was pushing the limit of a hard pass. I wouldn't like to have seen either of them injured.

unless he banned from racing by the motoGP body, or refused to be given a bike to ride by his team... i dont think anyone can tell rossi what he can and cannot do on a racetrack

jorge as the uncrowned champion is going to be his primary rival next year sif he would pass up an opportunity to mess with him

he never crashed jorge off the track, until he does then how can you question his judgement on where he can and cannot fit a bike

Just looked this up - watching the last three laps, it's a great battle.
    Looks aggressive; looks like MotoGP.

YouTube - Valentino Rossi vs. Jorge Lorenzo Motegi 2010 last 3 laps

Note: Do not watch if you plan on watching the race at a later date, obviously contains spoiler in video.

Fantastic racing, and here I was thinking it was going to be a dull race with Rossi's injury and Lorenzo with the championship in the bag.

Best bit of racing in quite some time, that is what racing should be; close, tough, uncompromising. Fantastic.

2011 should be one hell of a season; Rossi on a new machine (I'd bet my left nut that Jeremy Burges follows)

Jorge on the M1, best bike on the grid.

Perhaps a 3 prong attack from Honda (not seen since the 90s).

    Nice.

Rossi is a danger on the track.
In the old days he would have been taken behind the caravans and modified his thought patern on how to race!
In the mean time the winner was....

Everyone is a danger on the track, and everyone is in danger on the track. That's how it is.

What about the 125's that rush back and forth at the start line taking each other out? would everyone in the old days be reprimanded?

Not that the old days matter much now, we've moved on, hopefully.

Bollocks... He would have fitted in perfectly with the hard nuts such as Rainey, Schwantz, Doohan, Spencer, Sheene, Lawson. Real men and real racers.

Not like the gay little pretty boys that are more concerned with landing a HRC contract because they don't know how forks work or get tired mid race... sorry... lap 3.

Spot on. Neither was in a position where they would be expected to yield, and I think it's poor form for Lorenzo to complain, considering he was the initial aggressor in most of the moves, and the contact was due to Rossi holding his own.

My mummy doesn't clean my keyboard, she's banned from my room. I can't let her catch me foolin around in here on my own. :p

Typical whingy types who think they are too "professional" to have to work hard for every position at the top end of the tree. Unfortunately it is present in many forms of motorsport at that level.

There was probably at at least another 15 riders out there yesterday that would have given their left nut to be consistently up at the pointy end of the race with 3 laps to go, rubbing fairings with Rossi.

I wonder how the team will deal with someone like Spies in the team next year; Spies looks like he has a bit of guts about him as well..lookin forward to next season with all the shuffling around.

Oh really Jamathi, so to you motocross doesn't count? I've heard your shit constantly and I've riden on clay, I know the difference, but do you know when you're wrong?

Bringing "mummy" into this? childish. Accept the fact your 30 odd years behind and deal with it.

Besides, I don't squeel, I fight back, like lorenzo did, like so many others would, instead of sooking about it.

    Enjoy the show.

btw I loved the racing this weekend...one of the more entertaining pieces of Moto GP in recent years.

And if motorsport is not at least entertaining...for what purpose does it exist other than to burn hydrocarbons?

I thought of that..but then R&D could be achieved by an individual on a track beating the clock lap after lap, no need for others to be out there competing. Racing is about the competition and being seen as the best in front of the whole world.

And R&D/Testing is limited/capped in many forms of motorsport.

Motorsport is ultimately about the human, the rider/driver and his team striving to beat everyone else out there, using every sense and every scrap they have to get in front of the next guy and stay in front.

I imagine if racing was performed by drones/robots then it would cease to be as entertaining, cease to attract such major sponsorship, etc.

IMO that grittiness, that scrapiness is the hear and soul of motorsport.

Pretty boys are for the Show & Shine scene.

My 2 cents. Will stop hijacking the thread now.
