We were discussing this the other day elsewhere. Its a real shame that they have left the MotoGP. I spent 3 days hanging with the team in Le Mans earlier this year an they are all awesome people.
Some say he eats sidchrome for breakfast

Some say he only showers on even days of the week

Some say he put an R1 motor in a coffee machine

All we know is he's Hewie.

Pity they are pulling out, but not a big suprise.
Just hope they come back with a kick ass effort in 2014.

They were going fairly well this year. Is a shame that they're put a stop to it.
Click here to see my Ducati 999R in the PSB garage... You'll love it!

Don't click here to see my ZX9R aka The Ginger Ninja... there's no link!

Sounds like there out for 2 years, back in 2014 and developing a bike during this period and becoming specators. Probably a good idea. For the sited reasons of financial hardship though, Suzuki did come out with new gsxrs this year, with more updates than the other mfrs and I think they came as a tough sell.

Claiming rule team, not a factory backed entry. But yes, BMW and aprilia should be present in 2012 as i understand it. about 5-7 seconds per lap off the pace if early tests are anything to go by :-\

Surely someone is going to field a kawasaki. If there is one thing kawasaki can make, it is an engine. Given the rest of the bike has to be a prototype, why not use the kwakka motor?

Disappointing that they are dropping out, as mentioned earlier and I agree, the bike seemed to be getting better, hopefully they'll be back, better than ever in 2014

Even if BMW and Aprilia are CRT's, I would love to see them out there. It shouldn't take them too long to get sorted out should it? Seeing that both run Factory teams in WSBK, would that not mean that they should, in theory at least be able to get the bikes dialled in quicker than many would suspect?

Seeing that Kwakka green belting around again would be damn sweet too.

I just hope Yamaha and Ducati can get thesmselves sorted out early, to provide a decent challenge to the Hondas that would be even better.

claiming rule teams = fully prototype chassis if i'm not mistaken (similar to moto 2). unfortunately, you can't run a decently set up SBK machine....

here's hoping they pick up the pace in testing and claw some of that 5-7 sec back, but bear in mind the 1000cc gp bikes are brand new as well, so there's nothing to say they're not going to get faster to match any development done to the claiming rule teams....

^^ motogp tyres maybe not well suited to production based bikes?

    edit:
then again, to be fair moto 2 is a fairly well sorted class right now. pretty sure they're a fair bit quicker than the first year.

Read that Suzuki also halved it's dealer network in the UK.
Think they may be holding tight with the r&d and spending until the world financial dramas get sorted. With a strong yen ,Jap bikes/ Suzuki struggles to compete with the Euro bikes in the western markets atm as well. Might be a good call financially and developement wise when we look back in 2015/16.

I think I found out why Suzuki pulled out of MotoGp next year, they developed this :

So what happened here is on of two things :

1 : a grapfruit made sweet love to of those lunboxonaskateboard vans you used to see

    or

2 : They left a group of engineers/car designers alone in a room full of drugs, pencils, paper without any form of competant adult supervision. They then realised that there was almost no money left and cut the GP team.
Somehow it's reassuring knowing that I'm not the only one pretending to be normal.
