Who is going to be the next Big Australian Rider

After reading the article about Remy (Gardiner) it got me thinking...

Does anyone know of any other young prospect coming out of Australia?

Kids that have the potential to be the next Stoner or Doohan or Gardiner etc...

I heard that Stoner had to go to Europe at the age of 15. It seems that is the best way to make a break into MotoGP.

Also after seeing guys like Marquez & Reading from the UK at 17. Is there any Aussies that are in this age bracket doing well overseas.

The 2 Wildcards in Hook & Taylor in the 125cc @ Phillip Island did well but... compared to someone like Marquez who is still young as well.

Keep an eye out for one, Liam Niblock, currently lapping a minimoto in the nationals as quick as the seniors. It's only a matter of time before he gets his first 125!!!

    haha

Wouldn't want him to be anyway.

Is the future really that bleak. Once Stoner is gone who is next???

Apart from the current crop of Australian Riders on the international scene (Casey Stoner, Chris Vermulan, Ant West, Andrew Pitt, Troy Corser, Cameron Donald, Josh Brooks, Broc Parkes, Mark Aitchison), and some young riders who are doing very well locally and nationally, as well as getting wildcards in international events, I can't think of any that headed off overseas early on in their career ala Stoner....

Josh Hook, has a good attitude for a young bloke and is another Taree terror (Troy Bayliss) . Got a wild card ride at Phillip Is in the 125's this year.

    beat me to it graham.

sam is one VERY talented rider, with a history on two wheels.

that'd be my bet... im just very dissapointed he didnt get into the rookies cup, was lapping quicker than many over there too.

    still, i'd back him...
    season 2012 is coming.....
