As far as I have seen...this is probably one of the very few '07 R1's already on the race track...Matt Battista from Team BHS (WA)

The factory Yamaha team had a clean sweep on their '06 R1SP's. Stauffer brothers finished 1 & 2 Superbikes.

Judge the character of a person by the way they treat people who can do nothing for them.

I wonder if the boys have race prepped the engine yet?

I know that Team Yamaha etc. will ditch the variable throttle tube thingos when they take the 07 bikes to race spec.

The 600 Hondas showed encouraging pace, they were running lots of standard bits, like stock headers and stuff but were only a few tenths off the well developed YRT R6 machines. Hopefully the Honda boys have had a chance to get some more bits for them by Winton.

Trev...was Matt the only one running an '07 R1 at Round 1?

He would not have had the time to do much to it I suppose. The variable intake funnel would only be of use to road riders I guess.
