    08 R1 Barbagallo gearing recommendation

    Hi,

I'm about to do a 520 conversion to my 08 R1.. All I've done engine performance wise is a akra y pipe + A&R baffles with PC3. My questions are:

What are peoples suggestions on sprocket sizes for an 08 R1 at barbs?

Also, what brands would are recommended?

    Thanks,
    John

From what i've seen it's -1 on the front, +2 on the rear. Don't take my word for it though

15/44 will give better squat and drive than 16/47, both are the same gear ratio just the angle of incidence on the chain is improved with 15/44

no changes to the track layout just the pits. and the proposed changes will still be covered with the gear ratio suggested

that'd be the same as just -1 on the rear, ie. 1 tooth front = 3 teeth rear

    Yeah..?

The grammar I used meant I was told, by one bloke (which works for him), he drops 1 on the front & adds 2 on the rear.
    Just confused myself
-1 front +2 rear would be like +5 rear, but wouldn't match up. You drop the front as well for wear-sake with the chain? (Correct me if i'm wrong)
