Good reading, interesting what everyone does..............tomorrow I might try the Basin in 3rd (come to think of it I may have just keep 4th gear cause I've just moved from a road 1000 round the track to a 600)

4th is always a great gear to warm up on especially without brakes.

I just thought your gearing was very short when you said 4th into the basin Donz.

Amazing that you can keep it in 3rd all the way to the basin Rob. Bet the rear gets flighty at the left hander eh?

Its not that bad Oz, fairly high in thew rev range and it tags the limiter fairly early after skyline if I'm on a rasonable lap but it is pretty smooth, it is a Honda after all!!

Yikes! Thats bad luck, I've seen a knee slider left on the esses once and also nearly got hit by a flying helmet cam coming over the hill
