    D/L required?

    Hi guys,

One of my mates looks like he will be losing his licence again for 2 years. Is a drivers licence required if to do track days on a race bike? Or is there a alternative, other options? CAMS etc?

He is thinking of buying a race bike, probably a 600. Also, he had his RE, no R, will that be a problem?

    Cheers.

    Licencing Licencing

Your drivers licence is not required for the track, just bring your bike, whatever size it is and we will teach you the correct techniques to use.

Your bike does not have to be licenced. As long as it can pass scrutineering, (tyres, brakes, no oil leaks, safe to ride, etc) then bring it to the track.

If you hold a current MA Race Licence, you can apply to TRAKDAYZ for a discount on our courses.

He won't be able to do track sessions at the RAC (AHG) track though as you need to be licenced and have a licenced bike for that one

I guess you already told him he's a douche?

So how did he lose his license for 2 years? Again....

Sounds like he didn't learn the first time. If he acts like a douche at the track, hes not gonna make many friends. Having said that, if he plays it safe, it might just be the avenue he needs to get his speed thrills.
A cynic is a man who, when he smells flowers, looks around for a coffin.

Dear god, it's some weird bastardized three wheeled two person go-kart.

He races Moto but you don't get the speed out of that, so I suggested this. Got to get him off the street and onto a track. Trying to convince him to buy a old racebike but he is thinking about getting a race car instead.
