now i wanna borrow some fork straps and brackets and a lowering link to suit 08zx10

can pay in beer i just wanna try it before forking out for it all if it doesnt work for me

I had a couple of fun dayz at Motoplex on the weekend, the mighty R1 set a new speed record in mod bike even after I fell asleep at the lights (0.499 rec). 9.602 at km/h 233.22. Think I will be the first person in WA if not nationaly to break into the 8 sec bracket on a stock stan R1..

Having said that, a 9.6 is pretty damn good. What was your 60'?

Dude god luck on getting an 8 sec pass on a stock R1, it will certainly be very special!!
9.60 is OK but 233km is nothing to write home about. My 9.60 @150mph (241kph) Stock 06 ZX10 is not even good enough to make the second round in Comp Bike.
By the way A/MB ET record is 7.92 held by Paul Niewhof from Perth and the MPH record is 164.56mph (264.83kph) held by I. Krasnowski from Vic set in 1994

Unfortunately your claimed record was the B/MB record that has a capacity limit of 500 - 899cc and your R1 is 998cc which makes it an A/MB so the record doesn't count.
Bad luck on that one dude.
I see your now racing Comp Bike, do you still think you will get the elusive 8 sec pass?
