HCMC Round 5 Collie September 27th 2010

Who's is in for this one?

Round 5 being held at Collie Motorplex on the Queens Birthday long weekend Monday public holiday, September 27th 2010. Entries close 13th September 2010.

This is a day after Round 5 MCRCWA (on the 26th). Which means if you are doing the double like me (oh Christ), will mean packing up shop at Barbs and either shooting straight down to Collie and sleeping there. Or maybe heading off super early on the Monday.

So... who is doing the double, and who is just doing the Monday. Reason I am asking is that I have never ventured to this track, and am thinking of heading down Sunday night, and have no clue as to where to camp out (as I will most likely be sleeping in the van) However if I am totally knackered by the end of the day on Sunday I will head down on the Monday. Either way I believe safety in numbers and want to know who wants to convoy down there?

I'll have a spare seat in my van (jukebox) in case anyone wants a lift down to help with flag marshal duties, as these are always needed. This would only be an option for a Monday morning departure, unless you want to bunk with me for the night. (Dudes need not apply in this case).

hmmm. well even with the end result, that was a mint day.

2 seconds off pace in p1, down to under a second in p2, .05 off my old lap record in race 1, then after running a handicap start in race 2 i binned it and broke what is aparently being known as a collie bone.

got some on board footage, and some footage from a rider i was overtaking.

sorry about the scare there grin

(even better, i got within .2 of my record on lap 2 of that race, having to go around the outside of another rider. bumma)

I think you need to leave something old and multicoloured, as new paint seems to be your nemesis.

Looking at the size of the field I really wish I had come down for a race. Would have come away with a medal.

No, Aiden should calm down, no need to try to do what he did, the very next corner he would be in the position he wanted and NOT in an ambulance with a broken shoulder.
And, so close in taking out 2 other riders and their machines.
Only the alertnes and skill of Gav and Grinn were the factors that Aiden did not take out these two riders!
