The lap timer runs on AA batteries... The cable lengh is 1 meter but you can order longer ones.. 1 meter is fine pending on where you mount the infa-red sender ..

Cable length is from the pick up to the readout, if you are going to mount your pickup/reciever at the front of bike then short cable is fine as you will probably have the readout mounted to your instruments. If you have nowhere at the front to mount pick up and can put it under your duck tail, then get one with a longer cable, they take 1 AA battery to run and 4 AA batteries in the transmitter if you get one, that can also be run off a 12 volt battery on the pit wall

IMy XT Mini Lap Timer Just Arrived
Got mine from here ... took a week to come from the US. The exchange rate is pretty good at the moment. It was about $AUS160.00 delivered to my door.

Hi all,
I have been looking into Lap timers and from what I have seen the Ultra or Mini Lap timers appear to be the way to go. What are the major differences between the two? Also, has anyone bought one recently who can recommend a site/shop to purchase through? Cheers

Cheers Sean'o, I have emailed them to see what the lead time is and what the postage cost will be.
Good points on the Ultra over Mini. Do they all work off the same transponder or are they of different frequency's? Quote:
