    Last weekends outing

I got of a plane from the Philippines after 16 hours of travel time door to door and made it to bed about 3:00AM got up at 7:00 AM and was at the track a few hours later.

Even if I did have my bike ready I would not have riden it. I was exhausted from lack of sleep.

But I did help out with the event and did tech ispection on the bikes.

We had 22 riders scheduled with 28 showing up.

we did an A class of fast riders followed by a B class of slower riders.

1st time ever we seperated classes. For safety sake I am pushing for this and have bene for years.

finally its a point people are looking at.

Here are a few pics I snapped. not many but all I could do as I was busy all day.

The track is under FIA lock down due to the coming F1 event this month so we coudl only go straihgt out and straight in with no pit acess so it was parking lot tail gate prep work and not the usual pit row type event.

Interesting to note that every single bike here is illegally imported (Smuggled) into the country in one manner or another. Not legal for the road, but out of all of the 28 bikes only 8 were brought in the rest were ridden. Hooligans for sure on fake plates or non at all.

Our Chiense Brothers in arms sort of speak. If the cops catch them the bikes are taken and destroyed no quesitons asked no chane to get them back.

some of the locals preping for the event

The tunnel leading to the track

With no real rule to follow we made sure the bikes were in working order but as you can see no lights taped kevlar type suits and even flip up helmets are allowed.

B group wait their turn. Helen, my race partners wife, is the Official organizer of the event. you can see the cotton stuffed in her ears from the noise.

Also check out her plate number. GQ 2 666 so looking good for the devil? hmmmmm actually 666 is a lucky numbr over here. just goes to show you numeroligy is stupid!

Fred on his CBR 1000RR with another rider on a new R-1. M series maybe?? faster than shit but the rider admitted he was haivng a hard time controling it. to much rear wheel spin for his liking ha ha ha

Another shot of the new R-1

Well thats all I got sorry more next time.

Might come up and pay a visit sometime - I'm just down the road (so to speak). What's the deal if I had a HKG registered bike and riding to Shanghai?

We get H.K. riders they usually ship across the border and pay a fee/deposit then when they cross back into HK they get their deposit back. I think they are good for 6 months in country.

I knwo who can help with that and get you the right details. We do have 600CC bikes for rent up here though.

The Shanghai F1 circuit is obviously world class and its a great / safe place to zip around.

Let me know when you want to come up. May 3rd looks like our next open track day.

Shipping a bike up is about 1500 RMB one way.

Riding up might bit a bit difficult as no bikes are allowed on the highways. Also nothing over 250cc on public roads. So surface streets all the way up here would be a 2 week long journey if the cops don't take your bike. :-(

Love your little stories of how things are done over there.
Wish we had a track like that.
