Hmmmm, what to say without getting him too rattled on the startline.

Well, Rob has raced against the likes of Johnny Rea in the Kings of Wanneroo.

Are you the guy who also does the tv commentary?

Rob is a top bloke. He hosted me for the whole of the Top Fuel weekend, introduced me to other riders and gave me all the good oil on Comp Bike.

Yep, Robwas is an example to us all, in that he's an accomplished roadracer and a good drag racer. Sadly, the poor bugger races in Comp Bike, against the likes of Neil Anderson. Which is like filling in your entry form as a gunfighter, and meeting Billy the Kid in the first round. But each year Rob gets better, and more consistent, which in the end will see him gain more trips to the finals, and more accolades. Smooth and quick. Hats off, bud !

And last night he had a good crack at Neil, but broke out by .012 in the semi's, his ET was below Neils by about .3 sec

Neil took out top honours again last night, as Rob has pointed out, he is the benchmark and it keeps the guys fired up.

Thanks for the kind words guys.
I am pretty happy with my progress this season and to finnish on a high with another semi final appearance and a PB of 9.43@153mph means I am finally riding the bike reasonably well.
Neil is the man to beat on a street bike but with guys like Ross Smith running 8.90's on his Busa and Kev Gumow and Brett Ghedina able to run under national record times for their class it is always going to be a tough ask to have a win on a standard engined street bike.
Thanks to everyone that has helped out or turned up and paid their hard earned money at the gate to watch this season.
And thanks to Gordon (flashpixx) for taking great photo's and writing articles to promote the bike racing at Motorplex as we are usually the poor cousins to the four wheeled racers.
Looking forward to next season already. Oh well there is always the road racing to keep busy with during winter I spose!!
