R6 Engine swallows wheel...

apparently, in the crash that caused this damage, the rider of this bike ended up sandwiched between the rear wheel and the undertail of the bike next to him! this bike tucked into the sand and flipped backwards into the wall at turn one... (all photos taken with permission of rider, rider spoken to, rider largely ok)

ok thanks. Hows the rider of that bike then?
Getting caught between wheel and undertail sounds painful!
Hope he's ok.

I was in that race and followed those guys into turn one. All I could see was the poor guy horizontal on the back wheel of one of the bikes getting sucked in under the seat. It was horrific to watch and still goes through my mind. He looked helpless. It really was awful to see. Glad to hear he is generally ok. Get well soon.

hey guys!
yeah, im fine. got a bit of leather from my glove burned into the back of my hand, and a big cork on my thigh.
bike isnt actually as bad as it looks. Already have a new swingarm, rear wheel and subframe on the way. should be ok providied the chasis is still straight. no oil leaking from the engine, so that should be ok.
anyone get any action shots of it? would love to see what it looked like. didnt see it myself.

You would honestly need to see it for real to believe it; the pics don't do it justice. Suffice to say, that's some awesome engineering that the Tribal Team have put together to allow it reshape itself as it did; as opposed to simply snapping off like some other flavours typically do.

Hi,

New to PSB, I have just posted the video on you tube. I hope ninteyfive does not mind as it's his bike that hits that wall hard. I sent him a message but he is offline.
