Was a great day out there today.
A bit on the warm side but only 9 bikes.
Looking forward to the next session on the 25th Feb
Thanks Andrea vale46 and crew

It was my missus taking the pics and there are a few good ones (considering that she is a complete amateur at photography), I will post them up when i have some time to sort through them. I realised when I unpacked at home that i am missing a glove, if anyone found one at the track can you please let me know.

Awesome day except for the heat...
My SXV was well cooked by the time I got home...
Time for a rebuild...

It wasn't happy...
Blowing lots of water out the coolant overflow...
Milky looking oil...
Suspect a head gasket is gone...
It was a top day out there with only 4 bikes on the track at once .It was very hot and doing the whole session was out of the question when the brain [what I have anyway]started to get too hot. It was great to put faces to the names off this forum that we met on the day and look forward to meeting again. The little NSR ran like clockwork all day even in the heat.
Look forward to the next tuning session that we are booking in for or Miss Mito is anyway.
Awesome day! The tarmac was a killa...sticky as! Once I got home I realize I grinded off most of the side-stand on the Zed...clear signs the new Dunlops were working well.
Big thumbs up for all the "hard core" riders that managed to ride in the heat...by the way if you wonder how hot was, I checked at the end of the day and the thermometer hit 45.8c at 3.25pm...definitely good for who was looking to loose few kilos...LOL
Nice to see some old faces that haven't seen in ages plus awesome to meet some new peeps.
Catch to the next one folks, ride safe!
Andrea
Cheers, looking forward to seeing some pic's ... didn't notice any gloves
That oil and coolant wasn't looking too good, never seen anyone covered in that much coolant before...you were riding that thing pretty hard, especially in that last session.
Fark it was hot.

That was the hottest I've ever been on a day at the track and unfortunately the same goes for the R6. It got up to 122 degrees and lost nigh on a litre of fluid through the overflow.the thermometer hit 45.8c at 3.25pm
It was good to get back in the saddle after months off, though I confirmed how unfamiliar I am with the bike after the break![]()

Disgustingly hot...... really good fun.
It was good to see my bike get ridden how it ought to be too........
Must do more of these.

At least one of those bikes looks like a dedicated track bike, but when I asked the other day I was told I couldn't take my track bike because it's not registered for the road. Is that track bike (no 180) road registered then?

I take my rego and numberplate with me for when they ask
Thanks for the photo Eljay/Eljays better half, it reminds me of.........sweat.

Oh well. I was hoping there was some wiggle roomI bought a track bike so I didn't risk my road bike when training on the track. The track bike isn't road registered though.
Cheers for the reply.
That was a hot day... I think I ended up covering more distance than any other rider... certainly felt it as I crawled inot bed that night.
Loving the photos.
