racecraft isn't scary give it a go

As every one here knows trakdayz is pretty hard to get into with it booking out sometimes months in advance but there is an alternative, despite what alot of people think racecraft is not purely for "racers" or people that want to race competitively but the group 1 or 2 is actually pretty simular to trakdayz. And just in my personal opinion the coaching for racecraft was more suited to myself and helped me a bit more with some awesome coaches that are very helpful and extremely skilled.

And for anyone that may want to race this is the course level 1 and 2 that you need to get you race license

For anyone looking for more info on racecraft look it up on the MCRCWA website and email or call the office.

And if you book in you won't be disappointed .... Make sure you get a bacon egg roll from canteen too..

Ok, so I ride a baby motard (read 250cc), with no race license to my name. Is racecraft for me? Do you see many 250cc guys at these things?

Yep sure do mate there were a few 250's in Saturday's racecraft level 1...

Like I said there is a place for all levels of ability race licence or not and where from 125 2 strokers all the way to 1000cc+ superbikes.

It's all about personal development and there are plenty of coaches per group to give more focused coaching

There was one 250cc bike there on Saturday, it did OK. Big problem for the motards is top speed, i hit redline in top gear(170km/h according to Gearing Commander: Motorcycle Speed, RPM, Chain & Sprockets Calculator ) in 3 spot at barbs. If you still have stock gearing you might not have enough runup/go to max out the bike. Either way its a great learning process.

Your only limited to how much fun your having.

If the track is too big for a 250 motard try collie perhaps

The purpose of this thread is to dissipate the theory that you have to be or want to be a racer to do racecraft which isn't true. There may be faster guys out there is the tuning group (but that's because we get it cheaper) but for the rest of the groups it's more or less same pace group by group.

AND IT'S EASIER TO GET A SPOT + you get more personalized coaching

I think it was 5 coaches between about 15 of us on Saturday. It was great as there was always someone available to help out when needed.

Agreed, I did a group one session and will do another. It was my first track day on a new bike and I didn't feel any pressure to be a "racer" and really enjoyed the day.
