    Hey all. Me again.

I'm (yet again) serioulsy considering becoming a sandbag, and was just wondering what brands you riders recommend. Such as gloves, a suit, and I'll probably need to get boots (I doubt my Rossi's are track friendly )

There's a Dainese suit at my house, but I doubt that I'll be allowed to use it.

Anyways, a point in the right direction would be great.

    Thanks!

    Hey Daise,
Any full race suit will do the job, a lot of the sidecars use two pieces as well. Boots wise i dont think they run a full road race boot as they are too hard to move in for passengers. Probably the best bet would be to ring the club on 9409 1002 and they will point you in the direction to Karen who is on the competitions committe and has been racing sidecars for a few years now.

The club has been working on an event "swingers day out" or something like that to hopefully get people involved and at the end of the day boost some numbers out on the grid. I will find out how far along it is and whether or not one will be happening this year. But what we don't want is these people giving up time and machines for people to joyride

Ditto! I think I saw it for the first time about 18 months ago, and my eyes almost popped out of my head. It looks freakin awesome!

Yes, I am a little bit insane.

    *BUMP*

I've just called and booked my place for the racecraft, they'll be sending me out paperwork in the next few weeks, and I'm hiring a suit.

It's on Dec 11th, you guys better come and support me!

It would be huge amounts of fun.
You dont appear very big, would you weigh enough to "sandbag" a side car outfit?
    Or more "handbag" it?

Dont get me wrong, YOU GO GIRL.
    The rush would be wicked.

daise make sure you were a good back protector dainese is a good brand and your boots make sure are soft or you will have trouble getting around the bike . any 1peice leathers or twopiece that zip together is fine good gloves and of corse a good blood bucket .
if you are an adrenalin juncky it will get you off it did me i never got sick of it for the 5 years i was racing .

XS - I think with the leathers on it'll double my weight (hopefully) so it should help a bit. All good things come in small packages (shut up )

Spadaman - have you booked yet? I'm still waiting for the paperwork (a month to go but I can't halp being a little bit excited about it). It'll be good to have another PSB'er to have fun with

Kookaburra - thanks for the advice, I've been told on the UK swinger forums that race boots aren't the best, I have Rossis anyways so I'll be wearing them. I'm hiring a suit for now, but I need to get proper gloves (no way in hell I'll be wearing my A.S summer gloves on the track). It's track racing, and I'm worried about becoming an addict (anyone else notice that most addictions are EXPENSIVE?!)

    I can't wait!!

Sorry if this is old news (away in Qld at the mo), but i asked Denise at the Kings round on Nov 6th and she mentioned a December 11 sidecar event where you can go and get involved for the day to try it out.

Check wiht the MCRC office for details, and good luck to all who give it a go!

If you haven't got the paperwork yet, I'd try giving them a buzz after Sunday or emailing them to see what's happening.
