Supermoto Open Day - 11th December

Supermoto WA are going to hold an open day at Collie on the 11th of December for riders interested in having a go on a Supermoto bike. The club will have a range of bikes available to ride, with both tarmac (using the whole road race track) and off-road / tarmac (Supermoto circuit) sessions. This will allow us to cater for all skill sets. Experienced riders will circulate with each group.
Leather suits and boots will be available to use on the day and maybe the odd smelly helmet.
Riders with their own bikes are welcome to come down and give them a run, plus you can switch to a race bike for a session to gauge the difference.
We will be charging $50.00 per rider if a 1 day practice licence is required and $30.00 if you hold a competition licence.
For this you will get at least 3x 10 min track sessions(could be more if numbers are low), BBQ lunch and some coaching.
Free camping will be available at the track on the Saturday night.
There will be more on this as the finer details are finalised.

    Cheers Bryan

No, the VOR has been sold to an unsuspecting victim, it was like the "Christine" of motorcycles. I do not know how many victims it claimed. The last time I saw it racing the kick start (which had to be kicked forward on the left side of the bike) had a piece of skin and hair on it from the owner, it then proceeded to high side a first timer off; which resulted in a broken wrist.

Basically lights will have to be removed or taped, stands wired in the up position, brakes to operate satisfactorily,no visible oil or coolant leaks, tyres are in good condition, throttle self closes and the general condition of the bike is good.

The bikes will be scrutineered for compliance and any items that do not comply, we will help out to fix ie: tape will be available for lights, wire for stands etc.

I'm pretty keen to have a crack at a bigger bike!!!

Plus, this will be a perfect opportunity to find out if the little Kato has enough guts for the supermoto course down there!! Looking forward to it!!

    Subscribed.

My DR650 got mistaken for a 'tard the other day, so maybe I need to take it round the track to clear up any confusion. Date is in the calendar, hopefully I have a free weekend!

A noob rider is going to crash one of your loaner bikes, what happens then? Insurance, or pay for what you broke?

    Was thinking the same...
But after watching a few Motards races on youtube, when they crash they seem to just pick them back up and continue the race, haha!

$0 damage (afaik). It was the first session and the rider and the bike kept going all day.
