My old bike was about 9 hp the new one is 15-16 hp. I've just returned from round one of the Aust. minimoto championships and some of the guy's over there must have nearly 20 hp because they were pulling away from me up the straight that much!

News and changes for 2010 Supermoto WA

Practice Days are now available on Race Days. On those days the whole track is available for practice, including the dirt section. Since this is a fully MWA sanctioned event, which includes officials, flag marshals, ambulance etc ,the cost is higher compared to Tuesday nights. Cost is $175. I know that sounds high, but this is how much it costs the Club.
For Race day practice, you need to complete an entry form before
the event, unlike Tuesday pratice nights where you can just rock up.Tuesday practice night costs remain the same as they were.

For some people it might be financially beneficial to obtain a competition licence through Motorcycling WA, that would save a bit of money in the long run instead of obtaining a day lincense every time you ride on a track. But that depends on how often you take advantage of track days.

Also, the club memebership fee has increased, it is now $200 p.a.

Since the club was (is) running at a loss, those increases in fees were absolutely necessary and crucial for the club to remain operational.
And with the club the only one in W.A , that also means that without a club there is, or would be, no Supermoto in W.A

Of course, every support is most welcomed, so are new members, the more the merrier :-) So if any of you guys are interested in taking yourself and your bike to the next level (off the street and onto the track more often) the joining the club would be a great idea.

P.S. Next race meeting is this week Sun March 21, Gates open 7:30am at Wanneroo Kartway. As soon as the new dates become available , I will post them here

I'm hanging out, just still not mended enough and need a bit of physio and gym. Rode the SXV twice this weekend a few hundred K all up and had to nanny nap a couple of hours after each ride. I'll be there soon.

Just recovering from a busted hand! Rode for the first time in 6 weeks yesterday. Got a tuning session on Sunday so will see how I go, then will be back out there mate.
