VIRGIN group 3 appearance aug 14th

Hey Guys/Girls,

Just checking to see if anyone is going in group three on AUG 14TH that has a helmet camera/go pro type camera. If so would anyone mind slotting in behind a slower rider (myself) for a few laps so I can see some footage to maybe help me out a bit with techniques.
I want decrease lap times and believe seeing some footage of myself very well might help. I have only just got into track riding this year and I my best lap so far is 70.5secs on a 05 gsxr600. I hope to improve this time gradually and believe it is possible as I don't really know what I am doing right or wrong. Any help much appreciated.

No problems mate. I've got the go pro camera, a group three booking and a couple of spare laps every session. We'll knock a couple of seconds off should the weather be agreeable

Awesome, cheers mate I really appreciate it. I am one of those guys not bought up motorcycles and only started riding on the road a few years ago. The biggest problem I think I have is that I don't feel what the bike is doing or telling me and I should probably get the suspension set up for me to. Looking forward to it as I have been in townsville for 6 weeks by the time I get home the day before the trackday. Game on.

70sec laps in Group 3? I do round 65/66s in Group 2 and thought of a possible step up to Group 3 but wasn't sure of the pace matching with the Group 3 regulars. So I'm sticking to Group 2 until I have that confidence/lap time to suit.
Can't go wrong with the GoPro tho, recently picked one up myself and will be using Aug 14 for sure!

You should be in group 4, as long as you do those times without being reckless of course.

65-66secs thats quick, with 71secs laps I can only get maybe two smooth laps in any session without catching someone and I am not massive on putting people off with crazy passing so I leave it for the straights. I am moving up to 3 so I can hopefully get some consistent laps in at the back of group 3 and I don't mind being over taken by the better guys and learn more by following consitent smooth riders. It also free's up some spots for my mates to book in on group two. Preying for weather like it is in townsville right now but hear it is raining a bit over there

Robwas, Sounds good mate I'l keep an eye out for you what bike are you on, is that a zx10/14 in the avatar. I am on a grey gsxr600 and if your an instructor with trakdayz it was Vaughan's old one. See you then and yes I'll head out even if it is raining.

i'll be grp 3 too, but no camera. Working on 70 sec laps or better too, so look forward to the advice and tuition.
