What happens if you are involved in a crash at the track?

Basically I was wondering if you crash into another bike or you cause another bike to crash at the track whether its a track day or a race day who wears the cost of fixing the bike (seeing there is no insurance)?

If this happens out on the road the person who is at fault pays or their insurance company does(hopefully). If it happens on the track is the person who caused the crash legally responsible to get your bike fixed or is this just part of racing. Leading on from that how do you tell who is responsible for the crash? Its not like the motogp with lots of cameras, so it could become one persons word against another.

No one wants to get hurt.
But these things can and do happen.

Racing - fix your own shit.

Track day - expect to fix your own shit, but there have been occasions where someone brings another rider down, admits their mistake and pays for the damage.

Dangerous precedence. Anyone who does that needs their head examined. It's an athletic contest where people are pushing themselves. In that environment mistakes are made. Over the years I have made mistakes and others have come down ... and I have been brought down many times by others making mistakes. It's the nature of the beast.

If an AFL player lays an illegal tackle should he pay for the other players medical expenses?

The point is that it isn't a contest, its a trackday.

As part of your one day license, and during the riders briefing it states that you take part with the understanding that you and only you are responsible for any expenses which may occur due to taking part in the event.
