Well the first event came out with a bang! Lo and behold, we saw the top two contenders in the reaction time challenge astride motorcycles! With David Gasjek on his white blackbird CBR1100XX with a 0.004 second reaction time, being pipped only marginally by the veteran Geoff Smith on that mint MV Augusta, running a 0.001 second reaction!

Geoff scored himself a neat $300, only just missing out on the extra $100 for that magical triple "oh" reaction time. I've got to say, usually we like to warm up to these things but it looked like no-one was holding back last night!

I wasn't able to get out and about to do much in the way of catching up with riders, but it was great to see such a good cross-section of the rider contingent being represented.
