    Smile 1st Test booked!!

Well my instructor got my first test booked which is awesome news, however it's next Wednesday!! (and I'm away at work until Tuesday night!)

Totally nervous now as I won't have even touched a bike in 2 weeks when it comes to test-time but I know I can do everything required, just not as consistantly as I'd like!

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the West Perth centre, routes, assessors etc and can offer any tips, or things to watch out for? It's a 10:30 test which I think should be a nice time to do it...

    Here's hoping!!

I did my r-e at west perth, the guys there are pretty good they dont normally take you to close to the city. My test went west toward subiaco and then north over cambridge st toward lake monger. even though I missed a few of his directions and had to do U-turn to catch up with him again I still passed first time. when my son did his riding test for his log book he didn't stop at the stop sign they have in the carpark and he still passed.

i did mine as westperth. there are lots of cars and plenty of intersections. make sure u head check. there is also a stop sign around a deli ( i think it was a deli ) and the road curves slightly on the other side of the intersection. be sure u look out for that i ended up on the wrong side of the road cause i went straight. also he might take u past a hill make sure u stay to the LEFT of the oil strip. because u cannot see what is coming past the hill. is an instant fail if you stay on the right side of the oil strip there.

otherwise just take it easy. city west examiners are really easy going u should be fine

Yes yes yes ^^^ WHS head checking is very important here as there are so many laneways and intersections they are stricked on this. Its not enough to just move your eyes they dont see them you actually have to move your head so they can see your doing it.

Good luck mate hope things go well, two more things to remember..relax and confidence it helps a lot.

Cheers for the good advice I shall try and take all that on board! I've now got a bike-less week of nervousness ahead!
