    250cc road trail recommendations.

Hey everyone. I'm essentially chasing a 4-stroke 250cc road trail bike. So far the only one I've ever ridden is the Honda XR250 and I absolutely love the bike.

Thing is, that's the ONLY bike I know of! I'm sure there's tonnes around but I'd love to hear from you guys as to what other bikes fit this class. At this rate I'll probably buy an XR250.

I'm too obsessed with it, haha. Had such a fun day on one and I'm dying to pickup one for myself...but yeah, I don't want to just buy one blindly cause it's the only thing I've experienced.

Any reccomendations on what other bikes I should consider?

You know, the first time I saw Grant rock up for a ride he was on his WR, turned around while paying for fuel because I heard a dirt bike come tearing around the corner, and he proceeded to do a massive stopie right next to the fuel pump.

    Yeah get the WR250.

Of course if you have a stupid amount of money lying around, KTM, Husky and even Aprilia have registerable 250's that could be worth a look, but dont say we didnt warn you

Have a look at a Yamaha DT230. Tons of fun.

One owner. Only driven gently on Sundays. Sold to best offer. First to see will buy. Reward offered for safe return. Coming soon to a cinema near you. Available for a limited time only.

My waterbed broke this morning. Oh, I don't have a waterbed. Bugger.

wr250r is a new option. Fuel injected and 6 speed, what you looking to spend. A new zook 250 is around 7k

I had between 5k to 7k in mind. Yeah those KTM's getty pretty pricey. Nice bikes though from what I've seen today in my browsing.

Still I'm inclined to have a strong look at these WR's

The Yamaha WR250R is getting good reviews everywhere. If you can afford it then buy one.

I'm actually very impressed with how light and easy to ride Deb's Yamaha DT230 is (ie photo above). Although, I do very much miss my last Yamaha DT200R (I've owned five of them).

I live right near the yamaha shop in midland. Seems saturday I'll be talking finance with the chums down there and deciding which bike to settle on. Plus I'll see what their financing is like. I'm more inclined to just wait, save up, then spew 7k+ on the new bike cash.

Thank you for your input everyone. I'm so glad I asked now.
