I chose my bike as a challenge to learn and grow into, not a painful/boring stepping stone. It keeps up with the bigger bikes (limited by my sad ability) on the straight, in the corners... (now it IS limited by me) lighter bikes give awesome chuckability and FUN factor. The point of being able to do 300kph if you are not on the track? I kinda get worried that folks get sucked into 'only 250 for a year - then get a thou' - and then we see threads about them not being able to O-turn for the test, and blame the bike (and yeah, they aint made for that).
Do we ride for the pleasure? And is that dictated by horsepower or top speed? Or how much pleasure we get from riding what we have chosen for whatever reasons?
