The gloss/matt black contrast makes the arse end look unfinished I think.

As for those rim stripes. I guess a good application for them is to pick a colour that is a SUBTLE highlight for the bike. Since there is no other green on the bike (apart from that ingeniusly reversed P plate), I can't say it's the best implementation I've seen. Even if it is 'kawasaki' green.
Glad you're excited about it though.

no chance they're quicker than a baby blade...
These are slightly quicker than a zzr or gpx
Bike looks good except the green rim stripes aren't my taste...

My guess would be that the airflow over the holes causes it to whistle while you're riding. Make the holes larger stops it.
Then you only have the annoying noise of the engine to deal with.

I think the statement of it being the best bike of its kind in Aus is the source of the amusement.

some of you guys really can be tools, cant you? young guy puts his pride and joy up and all you can do is nit pick at the things he's done.
i reckon it looks ok, and would've been absolutely stoked to have something like that as my first bike

more likely it's the whistle you get from the fuel cap when you leave it in the sun for a while. all my kwakas have done it, cant remember if any of my other brand bikes did it though.

The fuel tank on these makes a whilst noise when equalising - drilling out the holes stops the noise... havent noticed it on mine tho...
these definately arent as quick as a 4 cyclinder 250.... only about 10-15hp short...
If spending a few $ on your 250 is enough to keep you amused and keeps you interested in riding then go for it... however posting up "best ninja in the universe or whatever" and not expecting some sh*t for it - would be stupid... go the spray can...

Well he actually said "in aus" - I hear what your saying, however you spend that kind of dosh on a brand new 250 and you probably COULD say that its the best in the country...
I say bravo mate, your bike looks (and I bet sounds) sweet, especially for a 250, and most importantly youre proud of it and you love it, and thats what matters at the end of the day. Ignore these naysayers, and dont let them detract from what is obviously a pretty grand experience for you.

Guys, settle down.
Everyone loves their first bike, it's the most exciting thing in the universe. Isn't that why we ride? Just try to remeber those carefree days, and stop being grumpy arseholes.
And just be eternally grateful that it's not a hyo he's getting excited about

Nice bike, fairly tastefully done... go the $2 rattlecans ahah
Its such a shame that kawasaki didn't give this new model a 4 cylinder/dual front discs/nice suspension...
still a nice bike to start out on though
