Blat on a Buell XB12

hey everyone. went and got my R learners today, and thought why not go take a bike for a spin. so the first bike that came to mind was the xb12 and 1125r.

i spoke with one of the guys down there yesterday at the V8s he told me to go and try one out.so i did, went to frasers and took the xb12 for a spin.

OH MY is all i have to say, felt a little awkward at first, as my daily at present is a Hyo gt250r. but it was comfortable to ride very upright. and loud had a micron exhaust on it. i didnt give it much at all and i could def feel the great amount of power that could be released.

thats all

Oh and if Jason from Frasers frequents PSB, cheers man.

rotax is in the 1125r. which is a completely different bike to the xb series. 1125 is a "supersports" style where as the xb is "streetfighter" style.

i'll probly take the 1125r for a spin later down the track.

How'd the 1125r go. Haven't heard a lot about them. Interested to heard how that Rotax motor goes.

EDIT: misread your original post mate. Is the 1125r even released yet? I have no idea.

Um word of advice,

Joshy + Buell + Dubai roads = not a good combination according to the cops

But damn it was good fun and yes they are an awesome bike but they could be so so so much betterer I reckons.

lols of course it felt powerful. you're used to a 250 :p

go try out some others like the gixxer 750, cbr 600/1k and don't forget the street triple. everyone seems to like those
nice thing about the >600cc sports bikes is that there's no catch-up with the throttle and your speed; you twist and you're already there

There was a 1125R at the last Collie track day.

The Buell aircooled motor produce most of thier power striaght away there isn't much up top its probally the classic example of Vtwin low down torque. Rotax motor was pretty quiet at idle but I guess all bikes are now. Think someone much over 6 foot would seriously dwarf these things. Styling is a bit all over the place there is several ideas going on there but doesn't come together which could be said about Buells in general.
Buells are more assembled in USA frame is made in Italy brakes and suspension Italy rear suspension is German with the rotax motor which is Austrian there is not too much USA left in them.

Tractors don't redline at 5000rpm, more like 1500rpm.
