depending on the kind of ride you're doing, you can sometimes get better results by posting in the thread and asking there if anyone is able to swing by and pick you up. i know that's the way the social/learner noobie rides work anyway. have fun out there

Have a look at the available R-E/R shadow in your area and PM them to arrange a time.
Don't forget to bribe them with free fuel and/or dinner
