CBR250 not on approved learners list. Why?

Hi all,

As you may know I am looking at my first bike and wanted to have a bit of a play with a salvage project.

I found this bike here:

ManheimFowles - Vehicle Details - Salvage

When I looked at the RTA list it doesn't seem to be on it, you can find that here:

Approved motorcycles for novice riders

What's the go is it ok to ride on your L's or not

Also anyone know what the parts are like on this bike, I will do some research tomorrow but if anyone has an idea on prices tonight would be great.

Cheers,

Frank

I don't get why everyone still asks "is *insert 250cc four stroke here* legal?".
You're allowed to ride any 250 other than the listed 2 stokes.

As to the salvage bike - you'll have to go look yourself. If it doesn't have any fork, tank or subframe damage, it could be a cheap fix.
A set of aftermarket prepainted fairings, honda headlight and possible instruments (exxy). Probably also a fairing stay and bracket thing which holds the instruments in place. And anything else you might come across.

However it looks like its got damage at the front and rear - how did that happen?
