Needs more USD forks...
But I think it could work.
What does it look like with just the bellypan on it? (or is the fairing a 2 piece unit?)
Good way to strip some weight off it.

Doable, but imo to make it look decent you'de have to remount the gauges & headlights, and obviously get rid of the air rams (or do something with them).

It's acceptable...
However, if you have your stock fairings intact, then I wouldn't bother.
If you want to pour time and money into a streetfighter project (for reasons other than crash damage), then save it for your big bike and then go nuts.

Anything is acceptable in the custom bike scene. Its yours. As far as 'fightering goes. Do it if you want to change the look, but dont want a new bike. You do know that you will never get it back to looking stock once you have done it tho?

i was going to fighter my MC19 when i had it.
my fairings were all intact though,
and i thought, there goes resale value.
if you do it, keep all the orig parts so you can put it to orig if the buyer wants to.
and use a colour scheme similar to your fairings.
After buying a headlight unit, belly pan, seat unit, paint, maybe a new speedo, you would have spent a fair amuont of money,
and on a bike you will most likely have for no longer than a year.
1 other thing
i thought street fighters were about performance as well as mean looks.
but fuck it mate, do what you want, who cares what others think anyway
at the end of the day, your riding the bike no one else.

yeah like i said, this was as much about feeling out the attitudes to bike modding as well as whether i'd actualy go through with it considering the time, money, and loss of resale for a bike i'll have for a year.
I've got the fairings getting repaired this weekend (thanks jme!!!) so it's not that i can't take it back to "lokking" original at the moment, just thought it'd be an interesting topic to throw up.
By the way, how do i give users on here a positive rep??
