    Cbr250rr gear shift lever

    Hey guys got the new gear shift lever in the post today but for the life of me i cant seem to get the linkage off the old lever.... here are some pics.

    whats on the other side???

    Is it riveted on? you will have to drill it out then

    They are one piece as they are riveted......... why do you need to take it off? Just screw the whole thing onto the linkage rod.

    Sorry mate maybe i wasnt to clear but that part is the broken shift lever and the new shift lever didnt come with that part of the linkage......i was thinking i might use the tig welder at work and repair the broken one with the new lever.

    Actually now that i think of it i might be able to scavange a swivel link off a throttle cable at work with a threaded shaft on it instead.

    just get a new ball joint with a thread instead of a rivet. ive prolly got one here that will work.

    they arnt expensive. go to the bike shop or a bearing supplier might have them.
