On Monday I booked a test at Morley for 13/10. Was offered some slots mid September in Joondalup, but I didn't think I'd have got my act together and be prepared by then. Absolutely no bookings available at any date at City West.

Welshpool is a funny one. I found that for 2 weeks solid they had no bookings available or if they did no bike for the assessor. Then one day rang and they had a heap for the following week, i chose one then rang the instructor and unfortunately he couldn't fit that time in. Rang DPI straight back and all of the welshpool spots had gone except for 2 on the monday (too soon for me at the time) so i cancelled and re-booked. The usual, ringing 2 times a day for a week managing to bring the asessment a few days sooner here and there and then more spots for welshpool again, booked a spot within a week and passed straight up.
It's all in the luck of the draw, but i found the best time to call was first thing or about 1-2pm. Get used to that waiting music

Can you still book and do a test maybe some local country town? I know you used to be able too when i was a lad (showing my age here) Just a thought if you were really keen and fairly confident you will pass, could be a way to fast track it a bit.

i think you can....my cousin did her car test in Wandering and passed easily. With bikes it may be different as they might not have a qualified bike assessor in small/country towns

Not any more, unless you go somewhere really, really remote. Bugger.
