Difficulty with an examiner at Morley

    Hi All
Has anyone else had difficulty with an examiner at Morley. His name is Henslee or something like that.

I did my test yesterday and was quite confident that I had passed, but he failed me. I was surprised but accepted that fact that I must have not met the standard.

I then booked some more lessons to try and increase my skills and when I was explaining to my new instructor what had happened, she knew his name before I mentioned it. She said that her school won't take learners to Morley anymore because he fails just about everyone for trivial reasons. She went on to say that several instructors have raised official complaints about this examiner.

I guess it's just my bad luck, but I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has experienced this at Morley?

what was the reason for failing you? it should be written in detail on the sheet at the end of the practical exam. did he tell you why?

    Hi Team 750Z
Yes I have got a copy of the sheet. The reasons were he didn't believe I was quick stopping in a short enough distance, he estimated it to be 15M, but no measurements were taken, and I wasn't about to piss him off during the test by pacing it out. And also I indicated to early on one corner as well as going 55km/h in a 50 zone. I think each item is subjective and could be argued, but I doubt anyone has passed the test by arguing with the examiner :-). Like I said before, just my bad luck I suppose :-(

it's a shame, i had a similar guy in rockingham for my p's when i was getting my cage license. it's the way it goes.

just relax and be calm. you know you can ride, you just need to show them you can ride in a relaxed but cautious manner. be confident but not cocky. do the limits but don't push the limit if you kow what i mean.

man re reading that sounds like one of those "feel the bike, be the bike things"

good luck on your next test, and if he fails you again, wait outside find out what cage he is in, remove valve caps, ????? , profit!!!

the only problem with going somewhere else is if the rider is used to driving in that area, and has been given lessons in the area then it will be a more relaxing experience, it won't be stressing over what "did the guy say? where do i have to go?" they will be able to concentrate on the riding and the shiny side up ing...

Theres instant fail and there is instant fail.

My examiner had words with me because I exceeded the limit by a small amount, then promptly checked it. He could have failed me... but he wasn't a cunt so he didn't

He passed me for my R's.

However, he made me do my O turns twice, because I was doing them in an O shape.

    Hmmm..

Apparently, you are supposed to; speed up, slow down (with your front brake), turn, speed up, slow down etc etc..

    Fucken' weird I say.

Yeah, they aren't 'O' turns as such. More of an oval shape.
They basically want you to U-Turn in the street, not do circles.

And yes, speeding = instant fail. I feel bad for you mate, better luck next time. Just remember, don't speed!

ill tell u whats not funny, killing strippers, strippers are people too, naked people who may be willing to pleasure you for a price you can negotiate later behind a curtin in the VIP room. besides there is no need to kill them, cos most are already dead inside... -Peter Griffin-
