ah its just stupid though, cause he didnt get to make a judgement on my riding ability at all. the car in question.. was turning from the galleria, onto russel street.. it must have just been in the intersection, blocked by the line of cars qued up at the intersection.. it was not in visual when i head checked.. and really didnt come that close to me..

Bummer, MP. Very sorry to hear that. I was there too this morning, and the entry/exit to the DPI is a really busy spot.

I was lucky to not have that kind of situation, but I remember thinking that it could easily become overwhelming in the context of a test situation.

actually even better i booked a flight over to queensland.. got my Qride course booked in for this coming tuesday.. fly over there monday.. change over my licence.. do a 6 hour Q-ride course.. ta da iam a licenced rider! its good having a residence in another state that has a much better licence system!

Yep, cause iam incompetent and have no idea how to ride a bike. so iam going to another state...

I just want to get this before i have to go away to work again.. cause i work away, and the queensland system is far better you are judged on your riding performance over a 6 hour course.. not just based on a 20 minute test. and ill be able to have it and be back before i can book another one in.

and its an excuse to visit my family =)

Q ride is actually a much better way of doing it. Competency based systems usually are.

They used to have it s that you could get your open license straight away over there but apparently changed that last year I think it was.

They can be harsh - It can be annoying - Sometimes it isn't the Money that shits you it is having to wait another 6 weeks for another spot.

RE: Going to QLD - just be sure that if you come back to WA -they will acknowledge it. Worth a question.

Well I think if you're living in WA you should pass the WA license test but each to their own I suppose if the Q Ride is a 'better' way of assessing riding ability then good luck!

A flight to QLD is a pretty expensive way to get around passing a WA test though. I suppose you are visiting your family but in the end, if you can't pass a WA test then you shouldn't be on WA roads purely because... the WA test isn't that hard to pass!
