In an interview with the New Scientist magazine marking his birthday, Stephen Hawking was asked what he thought about most during the day, and replied: "Women. They are a complete mystery."
Amen, brother. Amen.

People are quite happy for you to ride with in your own limits. Much happier to wait for you a few times than to scrape you off the road, or pull wild flowers out of your gear. Rememeber that... especially on country runs... they will wait for you on the turn offs.
If you do end up with people who are getting obviously impatient then its time to turn tail and head off home, as theyre not the right people for you to be riding/learning with.
As above, pick your rides though, usually a ride will say if they are 250 or learner friendly. Best place to start for all... make your accuintances and move up from there... plenty experienced people reguarly on those runs too.... if you are worried about getting stuck with the slow kids etc.
