    Go a 600 or go a thou>?

I'm probably getting ahead of myself, but in a few short months, money and skillz willing, I can upgrade.

I've presumed that I would get something around 600cc, so I get used to the power, and possibly find that its more than enough. However, someone this weekend asked me why I wouldn't just get a thou... "I'm not sure" I thought, "fear of death?".

Is there a huge difference between to 2 - if I can handle a 600cc+\-, an I handle a thou?

Good question and one that has somewhat surprisingly never been asked on this site before.

The powerband is different between 600cc and 1000cc. It really depends how you ride the bike. Some say 600cc is good enough and others say 1000cc.

get a cruiser unless the awesomeness of 1600cc+ is too much for you.

    Otherwise get a busa they're only 1300cc.

You should get a GSXR750 or a street triple. Girls normally like those bikes.

Let me google that for you

Get the bike that feels right and that you can afford. If you lack self control, you could still manage to kill yourself on a 50cc scooter.

I do not mean to pry, but you don't, by any chance, happen to have six fingers on your right hand?
