Jeez this thread got bitchy..
600's are insanely fast, but they aren't for everyone.
1000's are stupendously fast, and make it easier to be a lazy rider.
Both will kill you if you ham-fist it up or miss your braking zone.

It's a bored-out Foxeye blade that too-late caught on to the USD craze. The very definition of a plastic fantastic, batman-headlighted, turning japanese catch up. They were caught napping by both the R1 and GSXR and had to resort to stall tactics with an interim model while they developed a proper 1000cc engine. It also had worse electrics than any italian of the time. "What's that smell? Oh, it's my R/R burning out again! Jolly good, what?"
Hey at least they had the SP-2 in the meantime right Lefty ?
*disclaimer* I didn't mean to take this thread off track, I just couldn't stand saying something nice to a Cam* without balancing it out.
*Cam Jones is the exception that proves the rule.
It's probably something to do with "screw up a launch on a 600, be rewarded with probably the best wheelie you'll do for a while. Screw up a launch on the thou, be punished with your bike sliding down the road". Higher penalty for failure = harder to ride the line.
*Yes, I know that's not quite how it goes, but you get the idea.
Insert witty comment here
The size of the wheels is important relative to the capacity of the engine but more importantly the number of cylinders the engine has. I see you've got your heart set on a 750 + required operation so if I just grab my calculator I can work this out... OK 750ccs.... 4 cylinders... the number of chickens put in danger by having another 750 on the road... worms ... mothballs.... dubstep.... AH HA! I have the answer.
"It might but may also not"
Which pretty much debunks anything said in this thread so far. HTH.
this thread is halariousssssnesssness. Gets more interesting everyday i look at it!¡!

If you want low down lazy torque, minimal gear changes without worrying (too much) about killing yourself and someting that can carry your big bones around...go a big lazy v-twin thats bigger than 1'000cc.
I'm 6 foot and 85 kilos, the MT suits me down to the ground. I do miss my 600 and am keen to get a cheap 5 or 6 year old for a thrash/track machine, however when it comes to around town riding, with a stupid grin on my face I've never been happier.
An absolute peach to get off the line, braded brake lines were an essential upgrade to pull the 240+ kilos up in a hurry though. I encourage you to go and test ride some of the super capacity machines and just keep an open mind.
