HELP - Hyoosung GT250R Wont start

I am having a problem with starting my bike and need help,
    Its a 2006 Hyosung GT250R

What happens is i turn it on everything works like lights, led display and it turns over but it wont get that kick to start but it starts when i give it a push start and only decides not to run sometimes, i thought it was just the cold weather till it did it to me this afternoon ,It has battery and its only a newish one 6 months old,

its booked for the mechanic thursday-friday but thought if it was something simple i could do that would be better,

Please give me your words of wisdom and if there is one Hyo joke (Especially from the guys from the weekly learner newbie ride ill run you over) ha ha

    Cheers

I'd say thats a battery issue. Might have some 'charging issues', or have a dud. Oh, and I love Hyo's like a fat kid loves cake.

my 2011 GT250R shat itself a few weeks ago. Something to do with the computer and the kickstand. Battery fully charged everything worked. THe starter motor would do its thing, but the engine wouldnt fire up............. the kick stand wires were cut and rejoined to bypass the stand... fired up first time after that.. Hope this helps!

does sound like the battery. i dont think it would be a computer / side stand switch issue as turning the wheels doesnt by pass that. so if u can push start it then it could be your battery has dropped a cell and cant produce enough juice for both startor motor and spark. stick a multi meter on it if u have one , if it drops below 9v when u press the starter its a dead cell. if u dont have one take it to a battery joint and they should test it for free , much cheaper then getting a mechanic to test it.

i'm with frogger it's either charge or battery.

Would just like to add that bypassing the stand safety switch someone mentioned is adding an unnecessary hazard to your riding, the reason the switch is on there is that riders have died through leaving their stand down or stand spring failure, including some pretty well known racers in the mid 90s

the dealer should know better. Although i would do the same to keep my bike running to get home, i would never do it to someone elses or recommend it.
