and fuck me it was slow compared to my Across, it also felt like such a small bike between my knees. I'm going to wait off and buy a 600cc in three months time when I get my opens.

cool story bro
Just don't pull a namesake.
"In all the human societies we have ever reviewed, in every age and in every state, there has seldom if ever been a shortage of eager young males prepared to kill and die to preserve the security, comfort and prejudices of their elders, and what you call heroism is just an expression of this fact; there is never a scarcity of idiots." -The Culture
you cant beat capacity bro! unless you buy a stroker!
I REJECT YOUR REALITY AND SUBSTITUTE MY OWN

lol, sorry fellas, i just had to tell somebody about my day
You're deluded.
You like it better when it's an enormous big boat of a thing? Small is good.It also felt like such a small bike between my knees.
Can't suck that much if you're prepared to do it for six months.I'm going to wait off and buy a 600cc in three months time when I get my opens.

The ninja probably felt slower because it actually has mid-range (and more linear power delivery), vs the screaming all or nothing inline 4 in the across.
stuff
GPX250R has less to go wrong with it. Desirable for a 250.
The CBR-250R and GSX250F appear to be geared down low for power delivery to make them
fast off the mark. Not sure what their upper ranges are like, but I'm guessing there is not much there.
Both of those bikes are out of production for a long time as far as I'm aware, so finding parts cheaply (or even finding them) is an issue. There are plenty of recent GPX parts to be had as they just ended production of the older model in 2008.
End of the day a 250 is only a small capacity bike. You want power, can't beat CC's!
Low down power??? They are only fast off the mark if the rider knows how to access the power. The old inline 4 250s as still faster than the new FI twins.
The CBR250 runs out of poke at about 150-160? Then its just a waiting game to hit the speed limiter at 180-190. I have been told that with the speed limiter removed it can go over 200kph.
Finding parts for the CBR250 is easy and pretty cheap if you know where to look. Some OEM parts will cost you an assload.
Spoiler: show
It's cute that you believe that, honestly, it is. One day you'll ride bikes, and you'll learn something. Until then, good luck to you.
I'm drooling over my cbx250,..even though haven't laid eyes on the actual bike yet....The drool can help prevent over-heating on longer trips....Otherwise it might just be the medication..But yair, proper licence--proper bike,...must be incredibly good feeling...I heard trumpy triples are good?...Meanwhile,...back to the cbx...
