    IodaRacing 250cc moto3

Nice little single thumper by IodaRacing for the new moto3. Engine looks very tidy imo also 20.6kg weight holy shit! makes 50hp which isn't all that bad, still not up there with the glory days of 2smoke.

Or even the current days Tweaked mass production 2-stroke 125cc engines (such as the Rotax 122 fitted to the Aprilia RS125) are supposedly pulling just over 40hp in the UK and weigh around the same. Sound better and are easier to rebuild too. Shame.

The IodaRacing motor looks tidy though.

Rmdmotors.com are taking orders for the Honda moto3 bike. Rather pricey.

Something about clean cut tidy engines like that really gets me gearing up and makes me want to take them apart and put them back together so much..

50hp seems a bit low IMO - the capacities for Moto 2 and moto1 are not quite right. Personally I think the Moto 2 bikes should have a 750 engine in them and the moto 1's should be around 350-400cc's (probably with anoth cylinder or two) there is too much of a step between catgories at the moment, 50hp to 120ish hp to 200 hp doesnt sem right - the step is too large to productively educate riders. Should be closer to 80 / 160 / 200 hp IMO
