Lets all wait and see what happens over the next 6 o 12 months before jumping to conclusions.

There is no doubt lots of changes that are going to happen, there is a discussion going on at the moment and it is no more than that at this stage, however the licensing centre is trying to do something to create a better licensing system for our bike riders.

We may get a copy of an eastern states LAMS etc or we could get a mix of ours and a LAMS system, it could just stay the same.

But honestly, some people struggle to ride a 125 or a 250 that weighs around 120kg's. There is a LAMS version of my 650 which weighs in at about 236kg, (mine is up around the 260 mark with the shit that i carry and the tow bar)and I can guaruntee that 95% of people learning to ride will not be able to ride it and they will drop it and probably hurt themselves. So the potential is people may buy a lams 650 think they can ride it and drop it. People like Vitech and after market fairing suppliers are going to be busy, then insurance premiums will go up for inexperienced riders. This means instructors insurance policies will go up which in turn mean lesson prices will go up to cover the increased costs. Dont just think fuck its going to be hard to get my licence now and I am allowed to ride a 650cc bike. Look at the big picture.

Please, have a good hard think about the current system we have in place and the options for a new system before making comments or trying to change the world. Any changes that happen WILL make it harder for you to get your licence so be extremely careful what input you would like to have with a new licensing system.
Your are only young once but can stay immature forever!
