    Perth to Busso is ~230km.

You could belt down the new highway or take it cruisey and go inland via the South West Highway

Go ahead and play the blues if it'll make you happy.

Well, you'll get to just before pinjarra road on the kwinana freeway @100kmh speed limit. Shouldn't be an issue to pot along at 90-95kmh along that section. Nobody speeds there with the fixed cameras.

Have a break in Mandurah/PInjarra somewhere and then do the last leg at 110kmh. Forrest highway is two lanes all the way I believe. Plenty of Hyundai's do 95-100kmh in 110kmh's all the time so why can't you? Stick to the left lane and enjoy the ride.

Hey Mate, let me know how it goes if you do it. I'm 6'3" but only 80-85 including gear and I've been thinking of taking my cbr125 up to Sydney from Canberra (when I get off my Ls and can legally approach the speed limit).

And as an aside - the best reason to get such a small bike, even for us taller and larger guys is the cost. Brand new on road for <5K, $10 weekly fill ups, free parking (and much easier to get, and better locations at my uni)...

Fuck the haters.. just do it.

Back pack with food drink and clothes and you're good to go.
    this.

I took a 4 hour ride up to sydney on mine, held up fine. mind you, i am the stereotypical 60kg teenager. even had enough juice for overtaking. some kids in the back of some 4WD kept making wheelie signs at me. i disappointed the greatly. but i had a heap of fun on the ride up, even if it was in the pouring rain for 4 hours
Cops call it reckless riding. I call it 'skillz'

I rode my 125 from adelaide to melbourne, (the short 750km route).
I remember feeling like my arse clean fell off somewhere between horsham and ballarat.
I was swearing and raging under my helmet for most of the trip because the CBR could barely go 100 on the speedo (which was 95 gps) and my arms were going numb from the 11000 RPM

but I still remember fun moments from the whole ordeal, and taking the trip over two days would have been perfect.

so my recommendation to anyone contemplating a long trip on a bike with whatever amount of cc's JUST DO IT

I want to, but I'm looking at accommodation.

I wonder if I can camp with the rally teams.
When my CBR125R grows up, it gonna be a CBR600RR.

just recently did over 1000km in 4 days down south on a pretty gutless virago
great cruising bike but struggled to get past 100 when I needed to overtake
i packed light and camped with a tent, but recommend booking backpackers etc, just more convenient for storing gear etc.

    i agree

its very possible, uncomfortable but possible. i rode a 250 fzr from perth to sydny going through the great southern.

for ease just add a cheap tank bag, bottle of oil/coolant and a tyre repair kit. just in case.

Just did a road trip with a couple of harley owning mates last weekend to Augusta.
On the way back we went Augusta - Balingup - Ravenswood.
Roads were brilliant, windy, tree lined, nothing like travelling via the highway.
    Highly recommend that route

Do you think I would kill the bike riding it for 4 hours+ at 8,000rpm?
It should be fine, you might not break any speed records, you might have to break for rests but people travel further in asia and india on less.
